With all of the unrest in Iran, frankly, I’ve found it hard to cook–Persian food or otherwise. Sadness makes me lose my appetite, and so does warmer weather. We’re dealing with a double-whammy here! A sad summer is like a diet for me, without any effort on my part.
However, I do have a cooling pomegranate-walnut dip recipe I’m perfecting, and plan to post that soon.
For now, it seems best to keep this blog deliberately modest. As much as I’d love to devote tons and tons of time to it, I have very little of that precious commodity right now. This is the high season for my work, and I have to ride that wave for the coming weeks (months?), rather than to try and juggle every possible interest and obligation.
So if I’m not heard from so often, nothing’s necessarily wrong. It’s just life taking its usual twists and turns, ups and downs. That sort of thing.
